The Vin Plate location on the Volvo S60, S80, V70, XC70, XC90, V60 is dependant on the car year, before 2005 and after 2005.

For cars until 2005 it is located on the left hand side of the engine bay, between the front fender and the engine air box.

1 – Product Code
2 – VIN Code
3 – Market Code (USA, Canada, etc.)
4 – Interior Trim Code
5 – Exterior Paint Code
6 – Special Vehicle Number (Taxi, Police, etc.)
7 – Front Suspension Spring & Shock Code
8 – Front Anti-Sway Bar Code
9 – Rear Suspension Spring & Shock Code
10 – Rear Anti-Sway Bar Code
11 – Front Suspension Bump Stop Code
12 – Rear Suspension Bump Stop Code

For cars after 2005 it is located on the B-pillar facing the rear right hand side door. You’ll need to open the door and look to the door hinges area to find it.
