The Service Light on your Volvo S60 (2000 – 2009), S80 (1998 – 2006), V70 (2000 – 2007), XC70 – V70 XC (2000 – 2007) and XC90 (2003 – 2014) lights up  regular mileage points to alert you to perform the necessary maintenance on your Volvo.

If you’ve done the maintenance work and now want to reset the light, follow these instructions:

Step 1. Confirm that you have the trip computer in T-1 mode;

Step 2. Put the car key, and turn the ignition to position I ;

Step 3. Press and hold trip meter reset button until the trip meter reads “0.0”. Do not release trip meter reset button;

Step 4. With the trip meter reset button still pressed, turn the key to position “II”;

Step 5. When original trip mileage returns OR the orange warning light in the center of the dash flashes, release the trip meter reset button;

Step 6. Turn the car key to “off” position “0”.

And that’s it, your oil service light indicator light should be off.
